We’re telling untold stories about Remarkable Women throughout history who set their aspirations aside to support others.

We are producing an innovative, episodic series relying on a hybrid documentary story-telling format including: expert interviews, archival footage, photographs, animation and scripted scenes.
The creative teams at Greenlit Productions, with offices in Finland and New York are working with talented local writers, directors, producers to reveal stories about remarkable women behind the success of iconic men throughout history.  
We have ten co-production partners around the world developing episodes for this innovative anthology series. All episodes will be connected through original music, graphics and dramatic scenes.

Why are we producing this episodic series?

Remarkable Women: Out of the Shadows shines a light on the strength, leadership, and undeniable influence these talented women had on world literature, the arts, politics and science. The women we plan to profile offered endless financial, emotional and creative support, often sacrificing their own careers along the way.
The series, featuring expert interviews, archival footage, animation and scripted scenes, highlights how each woman carved a uniquely trailblazing path, a path that might not have offered her fame and name recognition but is deserving of the attention of contemporary audiences.The RW series examines history from a different perspective, telling the stories about the resourceful, intelligent and fiercely loyal women who made things happen.
These women might not have made it into the history books. It’s time to shine a light on their accomplishments so audiences—young and old— around the world to meet the activists who paved the way for our successes and those of generations to come.
